Z136 Subcommittee Membership |

Thank you for showing an interest in becoming involved with the ANSI Z136 Laser Safety Standards Subcommittees.
Before proceeding, you need to be informed as to what will be expected of you as an ANSI Z136 subcommittee member.
You will be expected to contribute to the creation and maintenance of one or more of the ANSI Z136 series of standards. Subcommittees typically have meetings at various locations throughout the country. Most subcommittee chairs expect attendance to at least some of their meetings. Membership is open for most subcommittees, but may be limited by the chair to maintain balance.
Membership in a subcommittee does not entitle you to free copies of the completed standard.
The process to become a new member of one or more subcommittees is as follows:
1. User fills out on-line application
2. System sends a verification email to the users email address
3. User follows link in confirmation email to complete application process
4. Affected subcommittee chairs are notified of user interest
5. Upon decision from each subcommittee chair, user is sent an email notice
This process can take up to 30 days.
