ANSI Z136.4 - 2010 Released!
|

The Laser Institute of America is pleased to announce the release of the newly revised ANSI standard, Z136.4 – 2010 American National Standard Recommended Practice for Laser Safety Measurements for Hazard Evaluation. This Recommended Practice provides guidance for optical measurements associated with laser safety requirements. The information contained in this document is intended to assist users who are entrusted with the responsibility of conducting laser hazard evaluations to ensure that appropriate control measures are implemented. It contains clearly written definitions, examples, and other practical information for manufacturers, laser safety officers, technicians, and other trained laser users.

Results of ASC Z136 Membership Ballot – Solta Medical (Dewey), Mainster, Nelson

Balloting on the approval of membership applications to ASC Z136 by Solta Medical, Martin Mainster, Karl Umstadter, and Stuart Nelson closed at 5:00pm EDT, Monday, April 26, 2010. All ballots have been approved. The balloting results have been posted within the ASC Z136 - General area of the Z136.ORG web site and are available for all to review.

A block of rooms has been secured at the Hilton Doubletree San Jose, 2050 Gateway Place, San Jose, California at the government per diem rate of $132/single for all attendees. "

To date we have not received any comments from public review.
